An honest word: no cleaner can promise every stain will lift. It depends on what was spilled and how long it has been there. Tell Cid what it is and he will tell you what to expect.

Before you book anyone

Straight answers to the usual questions.

It depends on how many rooms, whether there are stairs, and what state the carpet is in, which is why a flat price on a web page is usually wrong by the time someone is standing in your hallway.

Tell Cid the rooms, the stairs and anything stained, and he gives you a price for your home in dollars. His own site promises no hidden fees.

Often, not always. Fresh spills and traffic marks usually lift well, as the photographs above show. Old dye stains, bleach marks and some pet stains can be permanent in the fibre. Describe it when Cid calls and he will tell you honestly what to expect.

A carpet cleaned with water is damp afterwards and needs time to dry. How long depends on the carpet, the weather and how much air is moving, so ask Cid for a figure for your home. Opening windows or running the furnace fan helps it along.

4CJ Cleaning Services is Cid's own business, based in Baywater in Airdrie. His customers write about him by name, and more than one has had him back for years. The van in the photographs is the one that arrives.

Yes. His site covers homes and commercial spaces, and one long-standing customer writes that Cid has looked after his company as well as his home.
